I just finished installing Inclinator's NEW (So new, there are no pictures yet) control system for residence elevators. The same controls will be used for roped-hydraulic and winding drum applications.
I have two words to describe the UC601 Control System... VERY SEXY!
The customer (that's YOU) can see, at a glance, where the Elevette is and see if the door or gate is open. No more yanking on the door to see if the car is at this floor.
Inclinator has evolved from homemade Bakelite switches... to hoistway-mounted roller-arm switches... to infrared photo-eye switches... and now, foolproof metal tape with magnetic readers. The car stops exactly the same, every time. Well done.

Weight Loss Surgery
Well, I've been harassed about my weight... how can you install elevators? You need to lose weight...
So I finally did it.
I had gastric surgery in February.
So far, I'm down 41 lbs. down and I can't wait to start installing again.
I have three jobs signed for May so it looks to be a good year.

Fun in Ohio
In February, I installed 2 Elevettes in the Columbus Ohio area for the local dealer, A.R. Mellinger... a chain-drive MRL and a 950 Winding Drum.
I learned two things: The Inclinator dealers I've worked with, are top notch. Alan Mellinger reminds me of Mike Holmes from "Holmes on Homes"... very high standards and absolute top quality.
I also never realized Ohio was such a nice place. Who knew??
