Bucks County country home

A beautiful country home in Bucks County... owned by one of the nicest couples anywhere!
We were assured "You won't be able to find a place to put an elevator."

We had a shaft built in the back, with windows on each floor.

All the windows had to be Safety glass...

The owner is a contractor and his carpenter put a window in the back of the Elevette cab.

Since the shaft is so visible, I painted all the equipment in a complimentary color.

Montgomery County Condo Project

Ridgewood Development offered optional home elevators in their planned 120 unit development, just outside of Trappe.

Condos tend to be vertically oriented.

Each unit was designed with the stairs winding around a 4-stop winding-drum Elevette to service the basement, 1st & 2nd floors, and the finished attic.

Buyers chose the elevator in 8 of the first 12 units built.

The other units are designed with the elevator shaft in the framing so the elevator can be installed as future need arises.
